Life is full of pain that can be measured on a scale from 1-10. A Christian is measured by the way they live compared to Jesus. Join me in my battle of wits against Fibromyalgia and keeping the right heart to stay in the fight.

The Pure in Heart

I read in the scriptures about how the the pure in heart shall see God. I often wondered about that. You know, how to actually be pure in heart. All I know is that I'm not and I don't have the first clue how to get it.
I was around some of my good friends and the scripture finally came to light. I guess that's what the bible calls a revelation.
As I listened to my friends talking about their recent layoffs and bankruptcies I noticed that they were really positive. Positive that the Lord is trying to get their attention through these trials.
"The Lord chastises who he loves." My girlfriend laughed, "He must really love me. Isn't it wonderful that the Lord uses situations to get my attention? I know we will be alright. Just like the bible says, 'I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor His seed begging for bread'."
That's it! I thought, a pure heart can see God in any situation. If a heart is clouded or clogged up with the things of this life we can't see...spiritually.
Jesus was a positive person while He walked the earth, I can't find one scripture where He rejected the will of His Father.
Lord, create me a clean heart and renew the right spirit in me so I will be able to see you in all situations. It's my desire to have my hearts desire turned toward you.

love the photo!!!
positive observations...
the picture really does remind me of another piece of scripture that i've been thinking about lately...

'truly i tell you that unless you change and become like little children you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.'
(paraphrased from Matt 18)

I like that. Little children have no walls and they are easily led. I would like to be that way always when it comes to following Him. Seems like those are the types of people that would be in His fold.
